2nd Mahdism Media Festival in Najaf

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The media section of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine is organizing the festival, its public relations office reported.Head of the office Faeq Al-Shimri said the festival’s motto this year is “Birth of Imam Mahdi (AS), An Honor and Hope for Generations”. He said the festival will include various programs including a seminar attended by Seyyed Heydar Jelodarkhan, head of Karbala satellite network andSheikh Meghdad Hamousdi, an official with the Astan. Al-Shimri stated that the seminar will discuss media topics and the status of the media as far as the issue of Mahdism is concerned. A poetry night on the occasion of Imam Mahdi’s (AS) birth anniversary and a ceremony celebrating the anniversary of the establishment of the Astan’s radio will be among other programs of the festival, he went on to say.End item/ 149
